I made the mistake of moving Scottie's crate around with me at first. Knowing now, I would suggest not to. As lovestiny mentioned, as long as Gidget is in the most active room and she can hear you, it should be fine. With this in mind, something you may also want to consider is separation training. Start early on this one; it'll help you in the long run so that Gidget doesn't make a big fuss when you're away for longer periods.

Having said that, you may want to consider having two crates. One for the living room area and one in the bedroom where she can see you at night when you're sleeping. They like to be near you during bedtime
