 Claustrophobia
Is it possible for a puppy to be claustrophobic. My Gidget has a fit when I put her in her carrier for time out while I'm trying to potty train her. She whines and cries and scratches at the carrier. I just dropped her off at the groomers who placed her in a wire cage until she was ready to start her grooming. She laid down in the cage and just looked at me as if to say "it's okay--I'm okay".
Is it possible that she's feeling claustrophobic in the small plastic carrier. It's the size the trainer at PetSmart said I needed. She said anything else would be too big and she didn't care for the wire cages for training. Any ideas? |
