Default regular eating schedule

My 1st Yorkie was on a grazing schedule. He ate when he was hungry. When I had him I was on a strict schedule during the day. Up at 6:00 when I took him out for the morning. At 8:00 he went back into crate and I came back at 10:00 to take him out for a pee break and let him play for 10 min. Then into crate until 12:00, out for pee break, eat if he was hungry, play for 10 min. then back in to crate until 2:00. Same routine and back in crate until 4:30. Out of crate and outside, eat if he was hungry and then play time until time to take him for a walk at 6:00. Didn't go back into crate until after 9:00 walk. No accidents. Now I have Gidget been letting her graze but not successful with potty breaks outside yet. She's also a grazer but lately she's not been eating until after 4:00 and then it's eating and drinking until...... Having no luck because she's unpredicable about her pee pee and poop time. Think I need to get her on a stricter food/water schedule. For example, no food/drink after 7:00 at night. Will this also make her potty training easier? My thinking is that it's got to be that way. Won't be pleasant for a few days but what must be done, must be done. Any other suggestions?
