So very sorry for your loss.I lost my little girl in 2013 it still seems like it was yesterday. I donated all her things and all my passed babies things to my local no kill shelter, I could not bear to see them.I do have a little memorial for her that will always remain there. I SWORE NO MORE dogs. Losing them had become to painful. 6 weeks after her passing my vet gifted me with a 2.5 y/o little boy that was a surrender, it was so sad to me that someone could give away this precious boy, I took him home, I KNEW I could give him a loving forever home. He helped me through a very dark time in my life, my girl was 17 y/o when I had to let her go. Cody filled that empty hole in my heart and made my house a home again. Everyone grieves differently, there may come a time when you feel the time is right and you can open you heart to another baby. (((hugs)))
