Grieve as long as you need to. Don't worry yet about another dog to bring into your loving home. When that time is right, you will know it. No new dog what-ever sex will ever replace a lost dog.

Each brand new dog comes with their unique personalities and foibles and it is our joy to find out all about this new being.

I ended up keeping most of Zoeys things. Many toys have been replaced now as Dara has grown to be 2yrs old. But they are no longer Zoeys' but Daras' now.
