I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my 14 y/o Teddy in 2013. I went through the whole grieving process. I threw all of his things away--clothes, toys, collars. I just couldn't stand having them. I felt very disloyal even thinking about getting another Yorkie. It was like I was trying to replace him. Finally this past March I decided I was ready for another Yorkie BUT it had to be a female--which wouldn't seem like I was trying to replace Teddy. He will always have a special place in my heart. Just take your time grieving Harvey and when the time is right you will be able to make a decision on getting another Yorkie.
