I also looked into feeding raw and I believe that if not careful, it's true, you might not be feeding a well balanced diet. You need to calculate the correct % of fat, protein, bones, cartilage, organs, etc... it's not that easy. In fact, after my research I had decided it's too much of a headache to feed raw, despite all the great benefits. Then there's the option of feeding freeze-dried raw - that's easy peasy, except that it's quite pricey. Maybe more $ than buying the raw whole meats themselves (not sure). Anyway, I ended up with a high quality kibble - it's well balanced, easy to feed, no mess, and more economical.
