I recommend you get a flea comb. You can comb him a couple times a day to remove fleas. What I do is fill the bathroom sink with some water with Dawn it in. I comb the pup and drop the fleas from the comb into the soapy water. Also using a flea comb to comb your pup will help prevent the tiny mats that some pups get.

Advantage II can be used on pups 7 weeks or older if you have a lot of fleas. I have used it for years and have never had a problem with it. I usually just put a few drops on the younger pups.
