The other day I was walking her and a homeless guy quietly said, "Hi, puppy." I let her go to him. He was delighted that someone acknowledged that he was there and happily patted her. She, of course, loved him no less than anyone else.
My 9lb Piper is the same and when a rather scruffy-looking man started to approach us one morning walk, I sorta froze. As he got closer he just kept looking at Piper w/a smile on his face. I, too, let Piper approach and the raggedy, hardened man softened before my eyes and said, "My mom had one of these--a little Yorkie, right?" Then we all moved along, but it surely looked like Piper brought back some good memories for this guy and he is now a good memory for me! Amazing little wonders our Yorkies!! Hoping you get your baby sooner than later!!!
