Lilah has always been a difficult eater. I will enjoy hearing different responses for food suggestions. Right now Lilah is on Natural Balance duck and potato small breed bites dry food (free choice) and the same brand and flavor wet food (about a tablespoon) twice a day. In the morning I add a fish oil supplement to her meal and I recently bought a vitamin supplement to add to the evening feeding. Additionally she gets two ark naturals dental treats each day, one or two ark naturals gentle digest probiotic chews and usually a coat health chew after evening grooming. If we do a trick session she may get other treats too- she loves veggies and if I have an English cucumber/carrot session she is a beggin hound at my feet, lol. She is four lbs but has always felt very skinny to me, dr finally agreed at last years general check up that skinny was the right word. She is just so bony. Although I am pretty happy with her food I would prefer she not be on a white potato base diet (for the glycemic index) but she has a difficult time when we try other foods (we have tried a lot and had our ups and downs, this one has been good for a while) and I am happy she is doing well on his one so for now I am letting it lye. She has had gastroenteritis before and was on the verge of a bout earlier this year too (boiled chicken, rice, veggies and pumpkin were our salvation). She has always had typical stool, she is not a regular throw upper or anything- she is just very finicky and seems to skip meals if she is unhappy with her food. Anyhow- I totally get it! And look forward to the various responses to ponder.
