Thank you all so much for your stories and advice!
I spoke more with the rescue, and hubby and I decided to not pursue her. The rescue wanted a little more than I was able to spend, especially with "doubling" our monthly doggy budget, but they did say she had several other families interested her. I know she will go to a good home.
We will get Wall-e a sibling, but we are going to wait a little longer.
