The Doctor & I can't think of anything setting this off. I took her a list of everything healthy we give him. He NEVER gets table scraps, no greasy foods. I use the dehydrator for skinless chicken breast, sweet potatoes, bananas.
What we decided to do is limit to only kibble with that nasty can food they sent home, one treat @ a time. Being more consistent and not giving a variety.
Yes, I'm worried sick about him eating anything. Buy, today has been good. In 2 weeks we go back for more blood work.
Thank you so much for your kindness.
My baby is only 16 months old. Is this something I will be on pins & needles forever? |
I am very happy to hear Ruger is home and back to his wild self!!

I agree that Linda is an excellent mom. She has seen it all as a nurse to humans and through her work with Yorkie Haven Rescue. Her girl Cookie who recently had pancreatitis was on a strict diet for PLE (lymphangectasia). As she wrote, it's not always diet.
Some dogs never have another occurrence of pancreatitis, some may have it again 10 years later, others have recurring episodes. Try not to worry too much. Getting treatment as soon as possible, as you did, is the best thing.
