Max has always liked to play right after eating and has never had a problem. Teddy prefers to lie down for a little bit.
The only thing I would caution you about with walking right after a meal is heat. When Max was a pup, I once took him on a walk too soon after eating dinner. Although it was early evening, we were still hot and humid. He lost his dinner on the pavement.
