As for Karen, no, that' mall is only a couple miles away but I didn't hear about it in time to see the baby moose! Pretty amazing.

Someone else was trying to tell me they'd heard the moose was chased into the area by a bear, but that's entirely rumor as far as I know. It would just make a lot of sense!
