I personally Chinese people who are also dog lovers and I have seen videos and picture of dogs over the internet showcasing some of the dogs' fun time and being loved by their owners who are Chinese. So, I don't understand why no one in China fought against this festival or if there is, why aren't they succeeding as there are also a huge population of dog lovers in China? |
I've signed, donated and pray it makes a difference. This is too horrible to comprehend. Believe it or not, there are plenty of Chinese activists who are against this and are trying to work to end this horrid festival, too. From what I understand, the government "itself" no longer supports this "festival", but it doesn't stop small groups or individuals on this. Nor has there been an official ban (or an enforced ban, at least) on it legally, as far as I'm aware of. Even many article mentions that this is a dying trade (thankfully) that even families of the traders are complaining against it. The only thing we can hope for is that this trade dies out completely.
