So you have yourself a bit of a problem with whinning n barking with a re homed dog. I am not going to say give up now - on yourself and or your dog. But I will say you should gird your skirts so to speak and try to solve the problem.

You have a number of options. Get a good animal behavorist to come in and help you to deal with this. For me it sounds a bit like separation anxiety. And bit by bit she needs to be de-sensitized to being apart from you. And it is going to take your time and lots of it to make this happen. I would train her either to an ex pen or a crate. And I would start now to do this. Wi[th you in the room say when your cleaning or cooking. If she is quiet - treat treat treat. Yummy good treats-high value - BUT only if she is quiet. And immediately in the beginning even if only one second of silence toss a treat into crate. If she is not quiet ignore her - and keep on ignoring her occasionaly you try to teach the command of QUIET or husssssssshhhhhh.

Usually there is a reason for a dog being re-homed and not always for the reason given.

We fostered a couple of years ago a large very large breed rescue from the SPCA - we knew going into it there would be some sort(s) of behavioural problems that would not be disclosed to us. He had NO House manners - was not house trained - and believe you me it is not fun to clean up a Lake of Urine in the middle of your living quarters. He also was not trained to walk on a lead - that is no fun to train in with a 90lb beastie. He also had some medical issues we needed to deal with.

It took patience and lots of it to bring him to an adoptable state. He knew lots before we finally re homed him. Housebroken - house manners well lets say 80% leash trained - basic obedience commands - Sit Come Stay Drop It Leave it etc..

Take heart and do your very best to help your gal feel comfy and secure in herself and in her home. But if the job seems too much for you - disclose fully to rescue who may take her off your hands - so they can have a clear heads up and start in with her training and eventual placement.
