I tried few DIY and never had much luck either. Short term at the very best. I heard Daitomaceous Earth was very effective so I'm going to give that a try. Well.. as soon as I know it won't rain for a week.
You can use this both inside/outside of the house. But remember to get the FOOD GRADE.
