Hi, I have a 2yr old that had pups a few wks ago. she is in my bedroom and I notice that she coughs, and honks, gags, after drinking water. she just drank out of a water bottle and didn't cough, but then drank fast out of her dish and did the cough thing. She coughs for about 2-3 times. When she is excited or playing she never coughs, it's ONlY after drinking. I pressed lightly on her trechea to see if I could get her to cough and nothing happened. No runny nose or anything like that. I had her vet checked before I bred her and she checked fine. I never noticed this before. I am going to take her to my vet to have her trechea checked but was wondering if anyone else had something like this and it wasn't a collapsed trechea? I am so scared because I know it "can" be hereditary and I am a worry wart about my babies. I never noticed this before or I wouldn't have bred her until I had answers. Could it be thats she is just drinking to fast? thanks for any thought or ideas!!
