I watched this Nature program on Australia and I tell you that country was one of the places I wanted to visit - now I am seriously reconsidering that wish.
The final list of the top ten is no picnic but getting there was a real eye opener!
Without further ado Top Ten
10 Stone Fish - this is one dangerous fish - no less than two toxins can be injected into its prey. It lays in wait looking like a stone.
9. Blue Ringed Octopus - I think this one has a toxin that goes straight to the heart and stops it!
7 Brown Snake Family - I think one of its members is either the third or the second most venomous snake in the world
6. Mosquito - disease carrying they carry Dengue Fever and a Moire Valley Encephalitis which never one is fun to go through that is if you live through it.
5. Taipans - this snake group has the honor of hosting the most venomous snake in the world.
4. Honey Bee apparently Analphlatic reactions if not treated quickly can result in death - and it is one of the top allergic reactions in Australia.
3. Estuarian Crocidle - coastal hugs the shoreline and is a voracious and opportunistic hunter.
2. Box JellyFish this one can kill you in 2minutes or less. It is not so easy to see with all those pale floating tendrils.
1/ Great White Shark. Apparently this one takes a number of lives each year and will attack almost anything.
The interesting thing is that for all the animals that came up they interview experts in that area and also the handlers - trainers - caretakers. Everyone seemed to love their particular animal.
Happy Dreams everyone - this docu is on Netflix
