As far as the credit part goes, my husband has a cc with my name on it too and it doesnt give me credit only him. and about the extended credit our first credit card we put a limit on it for 200 dollars just to build credit, we charged it up and payed it in full when we got the bill, we did that 2 or 3 times and they called us and wanted us to extend our credit so i dont know about your cc company but ours called us about it
