My family first started out with a female Chihuahua, named Rica. She'll be 10 years old this summer. We then rescued a purebred Miniature Pinscher, Torch, from a shelter. He's now 8 years old. My sister then moved back in with her Pitbull, Bubbles, who is now 5 years old. I then rescued a Chihuahua mix, Luca, who'll be 3 years old on Sunday.
And now, I'll be bringing home my lil yorkie pup, Adrianna, at the end of March.
From my experiences with my Chihuahuas....they're either extremely friendly and great with all people....or as they get older, prefer to be with their family, and not strangers.
