 Regular prescription meds VS Extended Release? (re:ADHD meds)
whats your thoughts on this?
Both boys have been on an extended release ADHD medication for a few months.
My oldest on a much lower dose, only needed for concentration in school.
Well I picked the prescriptions up at the drs today and went to Target. Got them filled, bought alot of other stuff (can't help it there!) Wrote my check and was on my way.
Started thinking about the total on the way home and when I got home (30 mins away) i relized they didn't write my oldests for extended release, just regular....it was cheaper (by alot!) but i wonder if it will affect him differently.
He does't need his for behaviour like the younger one does, mainly for concentration on his school work. So I wont really notice the differnece in him. Im going to talk to his teacher in the am and ask her to take note of his behaviour over the next week or so and see if its a big difference.
Anyone have any insight on this? |
