Star Potty problems

Ok I just got my yorkie and he is 16 weeks old but I am speaking from past experience with other dogs. A small dog or even sometimes the bigger ones will tinkle slightly from excitement when you get home or they get super excited. Aside from that the other mistakes that she is making is just that. It's like when you potty train a baby. They tend to get into things and forget that they have to go or miss the signal that their brain sends them and then when they do realize it's too late. So bear that in mind and be patient...easier said than done. I know...lol. Potty training for toy breeds from what I have read and experienced can go from one extreme to the other. My first Shih Tzu was totally house broken by the time he was six months. While my second refused to be housebroken. I think if you are persistent and take a deep breath you will be fine. It' sucks to say this but it will take time. There is no set age as to when they can and will be housebroken. Good luck. I so far am doing decently with my new guy Lex. Starting tomorrow he will start getting to go potty outside.

Puppy hugs from me and Lex and good luck to you.
