I'm incredibly saddened by this story. First that the dog owner would let the poor thing suffer in pain to its death, second that the owner's friend (the OP) just stood by and watched (despite urging her to go to the vet), claiming it 'none of her business'. It's times like this we're so helpless.

Who has the power to magically wave some kind of influence to the OP into reporting this dog owner friend of hers? OP didn't seem to want it to be 'her business' when the dog was suffering; instead, she came onto YT to tell us all this story to rid of her guilty conscience, while not wanting to do anything about it. It's just sad. And quite enraging.
To the OP: this is like any abuse of a living being. Would you stand by and watch a child suffering painfully due to a health disease and die? Would you stand by and just watch a friend being abused by her husband? Would you just stand by and watch a child being abused by parents? Seriously. If this is
none of your business, then, no one's words can ever influence you. You really ought to think about what would you want if you were the one suffering in abuse. If the one person you knew, knew you were suffering and thought it was none of their business, how would you feel? Maybe to you, it's not comparable between a human and a dog. Then if that's the case, you don't deserve to be a dog owner!!
May the poor lil pup finally rest in peace, even though she had to leave in pain. At least now no one will abuse her.
