I am with you 100%!! I cannot tell you the number of times a stern-faced person has glanced down at Piper and I see their face soften. If it's appropriate, I pick up Piper and introduce her, saying she's friendly...Inevitably, the stern, bored look disappears and smiles appear. These individuals may or may not speak to me, but they always have a smile and comment for Piper. To be able to share a little bit of the joy and laughter Piper has brought into my life makes me feel wonderful. I am continually and sincerely amazed at the affect our Yorkies have on soooo many. I've seen more pictures, heard more stories, been asked more questions standing in the aisles of Wal-Mart or the Dollar Store. And for sure if fellow shopper has or has had (a few heartfelt, teary-eyed memories shared) a Yorkie, well we're pretty much old friends from the first hello---never experienced anything like this before and I simply love the camaraderie, humor, and kindness of Yorkie people, for sure. And I delight in Piper's ability to connect with and bring happiness--if only for a moment or two, to so many. It's truly a Yorkie thing!
