Would it be possible for you to contact your vet and ask them these questions? They would know better what you should do. I am not sure what the problem could be myself and maybe someone else will get back to you on your questions. But myself I always phone my vet to ask serious questions that are troubling me like the ones you are concerned about. They could advise you I am sure. Hope this is some help and I hope your baby does well and has no serious problems.
