Every dog is different, and at 9 mths old your kiddo is now considered an adult - so you can change your feeding accordingly. Yes, if he becomes a little sausage at 3.8 nuggets, then I would decrease it too if I were you.

This is what my kiddos get w/ Primal, per meal (they eat 2x per day, btw):

- Wylie (8.5 lbs): 2 nuggets
- Marcel (4 lbs): 1 nugget
- Pfeiffer (4 lbs): 1 nugget
- Arthur (7.5 lbs): 1 nugget (he is a chihuahua and must have a much slower metabolism bc I used to have him on 2 nuggets per meal and he too became a little sausage dog! He is now back down to a good weight, but it takes a while.)
