Hello,
We adopted a 7 month old pup, the agency rescued her from a puppy mill. We have only had her for a week; the first five days, she was pretty fearless. Then on day five, all of a sudden she became very afraid of of our street. It seems like all noises scare her, to the point that she runs to the nearest wall, sits and quivers, she runs really close to the ground and always pulls towards our building. This was the first rainy day she spent with us. We do live on a loud street, with a variety of sounds: cars, motorcycles, trucks, above ground subway, New York sounds. As soon as we get to the end of our street, one block, there is a quiet secluded park. At the park she is more "normal". Along with these new fears, she has started peeing right next to her water bowl, and food bowl. These are the only places in which she goes potty inside the house. It seems that her attitude has changed since that rainy day - she hides under our bed and doesn't want to leave our apartment for walks. Has anyone else dealt with something like this?
Thank you
