Yep, that's the correct pronunciation but I still can't bring myself to call my guy beavers! So I just put a little spin on it to Americanize it, just like many German names throughtout the years have done. My maiden name was Wiesner, in German it would have been Viesner, but here we just pronounced it with the "W" instead of the "V". So I still call my guys, "Bie weirs" it sounds a little better to my ears.
