I think it's a good idea to stay home the 1st couple of days. Yorkies systems are so delegant I would want to keep an eye open.
My little one was on this drug for almost 2 years. It definitely helps, but in the beginning he was very hungry & thirsty. Took about 14 months to stable his bladder. He was still very hungry till about 2 months before he left us. I just let him eat whenever he wanted. The extra weight didn't matter. Just wanted him to be happy as long as possible.
Even today with our 15 month old boy, I stay home when given heart worm, frontline, vaccinas. You never know if some kind of reaction may pop up.
