In many parts of the country, $1,800 is pretty standard for girls and $1,600 for boys, champion sired and pet quality, AKC registered and no breeding rights. Prices are a little higher in New England and some other areas with high demand and easy proximity.
With research and patience, you can find good breeders who have Yorkie pups for less. Sometimes show breeders will hold back a pup for potential show and release them to pet homes by 1 or 2 years of age.
As Magnus wrote, price does not guarantee health. Definitely need to research the breeder and health guarantee.
