Topicals are not 100% proof and there are areas where ticks are becoming immune to these preventives. So I highly recommend doing manual checks EVERYWHERE at least once in a while. |
I do full body check every night even tho I use frontline. I have read from many members frontline no longer works for their area, so far it's still good in mine. I read a GREAT tip from one of our seasoned members, have a small jar with a lid, pour some alcohol in it, after removing the tick put it in the jar and cover it, kills the tick instantly,works great. No more flushing them down the
commode.
