Obedience school dropout I pulled Eddie out of obedience school this week after deciding it wasn't fun any longer for either of us. He's been doing various classes for 32 straight weeks, but in this "cruise control" class, they were having him back up in a circle, walk sideways in odd patterns and who knows what else. He was doing fine. He just didn't seem to enjoy it. He seemed afraid of the skills.
What do others think of advanced obedience training? Is that fun for the dog? For you? Are those skills important outside of the obedience ring?
