My dogs (regardless of age) and cats ---- throw up once in a while - and often yellow (because that is the spot I see on my carpet). They are never sick when they do this - and actually, I never know which one did it....we just go on as usual with no problems.
Also - important - I do check and watch to see if any of my pets appear to be sick (which they never have)..... so we have ended up with no problems from throwing up occasionally.
Good luck - just keep an eye on your puppy. Hopefully, there is no problem at all.
