Yes, UT is a great choice! If this started at the age of 1, she probably should have had surgery. The surgeon I use always recommends it for the young ones. The reason is that when the knee pops in and out it wears on the ligament and they can end up with a tear. If the knee is repaired you cut down the chances of that happening. She is still young and if it is bothering her now, it might be best to get it repaired. They usually don't with older pups because they can repair the knee and then the pup might tear the ligament anyway since it has had years of wear on it from the unstable knee. Then, your pup has to have yet another surgery...hard on them and hard on the pocketbook.
