Hello all, I'm a relatively new member and new yorkie parent. I have 4 1/2 month old Koda and it's just me and him for now until the rest of our family moves in within the month. I have been curious as to what other yorkie parents do during the day. ie, do you constantly give your dog attention, is he/she the only thing you pay attention to, how long do you leave them alone at home (if necessary), things like that.
The question I'm really looking for an answer too is the attention one. Sometimes I feel like all I do all day is give attention to Koda, and while I don't think there is anything wrong with it. I don't want him to develop any separation anxiety or to expect that he will always have 100% of everyone's attention. I know he is still a very young puppy, so maybe his energy level and need for attention is bigger than it will be. I'm just looking for a little insight on what it was like for everyone else while they watched their yorkies grow from pups to adults.
