I let Oscar out to potty...like always. We live on three acres out in the country and he always goes out and does his business. My hubby gets irritated at me for taking him out with his harness and leash...he says he needs to run and stretch his legs and he will come back when he is ready...and he always does. He makes his rounds, peeing in all his favorite spots. Well tonight, he did not come back. I called him and called him, but no Oscar. Dewaine got on the 4 wheeler and rode all over the area, no Oscar. I called all the neighbors I knew but no one had seen him. I called and called his name, he always comes when called, no Oscar. Dewaine made one more round and still we did not find him. Right after he went outside, we heard something bump under the house but that is not unusual since the cats like to get under there. Dewaine shined the light under the front porch through the lattice and there was Oscar...he got under there and could not find his way out. I called him through the opening under the house at the back and he came running...he was terrified. All that time, his mommy was right there on the front porch and he would not let me know he was in trouble. He is still not himself...poor baby. But neither am I...I was just getting ready to get in the truck and go door to door when Dewaine found him...I think we may go back to the leash and harness...or build him a yard!
