There is nothing weird or embarrassing about what you have shared with us. It is rather cute and could very well be that your other dog is teaching Spice how to go potty. I had a dog and could not get her potty trained and it was well over a year. But then I decided to get another little girl and I kept telling my Tia that she was going to get a little sister and she should help to train her to go potty outside. And she did just that! I no longer had any problems with her not going out to do her business because she was teaching her new sis to go out! Remarkable!
