This makes her appear long and thin with short legs.

You know how babies will have growth spurts - one time it'll be in height, another time it'll be with weight, etc.

How do Yorkies normally grow? Any certain pattern?
I can only answer for my line and probably most of the show dog lines in the country. Most of us are dogs go up on leg around the 5 5 1/2 month period but there are some lines that do go up on leg much later. So hang in there and don't worry. Besides your dog is in what we call the gawky age, nothing looks quite proportioned. Good luck.
