If your grass yard is cut short and there are not a lot of brush or leave pile, I recommend using food grade diatomaceous earth. You can get it at your local tractor supply or on the internet. Spread it around the yard and it will kill any insect with a exo-skelly shell like ants/fleas/mites/spider/centipede/etc... Only use it on dry days and make sure the week will be dry too.

If the diatomaceous earth gets wet, it will not work. You can put it in your carpet or furniture or under your bed too for bed bugs. This is food grade so it will not harm your pets or you or your children.

Another note is that this item will not kill right away, but it will kill them eventually. What it does is it a micro glass and it punctures insect exo-skelly and dries them to die. To us it only feels like powder. If you or your children/pet eat it by accidentally, most you'll get is a good diarrhea flushing your stomach. It's what some people use to de-tox themselves.

I hope this helps for a natural and safe method for control.
