Default Hello from newbie and question on behavior issue

Hello,
I am a new member as well as a new mommie to a four year old yorkie, Sasha.
She is very sweet and I have only had her about three months. I have two younger grandchildren, ages 3 1/2 and 6 as well as older grandchildren. When I got Sasha I had an older chihuahua. Once my older dog died, Sasha became more aggression toward my six year old granddaughter. She lunges and barks at her when she first enters the room? I scold her firmly and tried to stand between her and my granddaughter. She also doesn't seem to care for our son in law, but she mainly barks at him. The six year old has picked her up several times after being told not too.
I feel Sasha is more fearful than anything. I have put her in her pet taxi if she continues to act aggressive or barks. My grandchildren live next door so I don't want to keep her put up. Needing ideas of how to discourage this behavior.
The lady I got her from, kept her dogs put up when young kids were around.
Help appreciated.
