Default Zymox tooth gel bad for sensitive tummies!

My Yorkie Jake has been battling SIBO/colitis for 5 months, pretty much since I rescued him. I posted a thread in the sick forum. My vet has him on Flagyl and since the science Diet ID wasn't fixing it, I put him on limited Natural Balance, but that also didn't work so I caved and put him on Royal Canin prescription canned food for gastro issues per my vet's suggestion.

Everything seemed to get better and I even got him down to 1 quarter of Flagyl every other day.

Then I stupidly used this Zymox tooth gel on his teeth and gums and the very next day, bam diarrhea! Then bloody poops. Then extra peeing in the house. :/

I totally blame myself, I feel terrible. He's back on the 2 Quarter Flagyl a day and it's been 4 days and he still has soft poops. No blood tho, but I still feel awful and like he will never get passed this.

Next month he goes to get his shots updated and I'm going to ask for the Tylan powder. I'm so scared to keep him on Flagyl, this is his 4th bottle.

Anyways, I just wanted to warn anyone who's baby has colitis or a sensitive tummy to not use the Zymox tooth gel.
