 Questions about tails.
I can't look up the yorkie library. I THINK it's my security set up on my browser, because I had no problems before an update; so I did try.
I don't want a controversy started, I'm just asking.
Tail docking. Do most of the breeders automatically do it to puppies, that and dewclaws? I'm asking because I do NOT know if Chewie's was docked or not. I know she doesn't have dewclaws, I looked. Her tail is short; but i don't know if it's too short, or what.
She came to us super quiet and highly anxious. I'm learning from reading up on it, as I was curious, that people say that it causes them distress later if NOT docked. The method I just saw LOOKED awful. I'm not saying that in an accusatory way. Just an observation. Do they really hold them and just cut them off like that? Would that cause any long lasting psychological issues?
Again, I'm curious and this is the best source of information. How long is a tail if it wasn't cut off? Are they still little stumps? Thank you so much! |
