I did think of that straight off. Chewie has been huffing when her tummy is in pain, while howling and whining, and pacing. That's not present, nor is the pacing or howling.
It was literally flat out being freezing and excitement. She's losing teeth, and one of her molars is coming in whonky. Her way to show me that's painful is scratching at her jaw. I was completely at a loss last night, until my husband came home after the karo/food (and she stopped within 10 minutes, further adding to my confusion!) and she did it again. Classic excitement, but whole body shivers. Her paw pads and ears were freezing cold again. I wrapped her up in a quilt and put her on hubby's tummy for their nightly cuddles. she was perfectly fine after that.
