So I took Daisy to a dog park today so she can start to socialize with other dogs. She has her shots and the vet gave me the okay.
WELLLLL lets just say it do not go as planned.
When I bring Daisy to petsmart, or wherever she is a social butterfly. She got along with Chester (another YT member) and she is okay when other dogs smell her.
I brought her to the dog park today and went into the little area where the dogs have to be 15 pounds or less. (that wasn't the case, there was a bigger dog who happened to be a pit, PLEASEEEE do not say anything against pitbulls. I am a pitbull lover and have owned 4 myself) Anyway, when he went to go smell her she got very nasty. So the owner immediately took her dog away from Daisy, as I did the same. I apologized and said she is a puppy and she is learning. They were completely okay with it, they thought it was cute. They had two other little dogs with them as well and Daisy snapped at both of them as well!!!!!! and continue too.
I understand it is her very first time socializing in a big place with allot of other dogs. Is there a way to help her break from this nasty-ness with other dogs? Would another dog in my home be helpful? I am going to keep at it though and still socialize her, I think thats the best way but there are other people on here wth ALOT more knowledge!
Thank you everyone
