Thank you. This is heartbreaking to watch. She's behind me now, on my chair, laid out on a heating pad on low. It's helping her.
Tramadol is a major problem. The likelihood of her getting some today is slim, and she's in pain- again. I'm THIS close to calling back the urgent care and asking for pill form.
The official dx is Enteritis. I THINK that's it, and I don't have the paper in front of me. It's inflamed intestine. I don't think it is, but my husband tells me I'm wrong, that's exactly what it is. No. I think it's colitis or pancreatitis. I'm leaning more towards colitis. She did the "prayer position" while eating and it scared the CRAP out of me. She hasn't done it before or since. She does that play bow a lot so unless she does it again, I'll think okay, she's a puppy and loves playing.
What's wrong with her is that she's hungry. I'm only allowed to give her 1/16th of a cup of white rice and boiled ground turkey. I know with MY stomach issues if I get too hungry, my acid gets riled up, I get stomach aches, and then can have trapped gas, and then I'm NOT hungry. She woke up with an audible growling in her stomach- and it wasn't gas. She was whining for more food. She looked at me with those sweet eyes and I had to say I'm sorry baby girl, I can't. I snuck her a little to lick off my fingers, but that was it.
I'm due to give her a half teaspoon in a few minutes, and then nothing else until 6pm.
Thank you for the advice and prayers. Carrot juice and bananas are a no-go from here on out. Thank you, truly. |
