 Yorkie mashing her poop
Hi everyone!
I rescued a yorkie one year and two months ago. Today she is 5 years old and weighs 4.5 lbs. I have been having problems with her pooping. During the day, she stays in a play pen where she has her bed, water, and pee pads. Most of the time she is pretty good with using them but if she is unable to go to the bathroom in the morning, about once a week, I come home to her poop being smashed all over the hardwood floor. She never poops in the house unless it's the middle of the night or she is home alone. I'm so tired of cleaning up mashed poop. Please help!!
I think she does it out of anxiety but I really want her to stop smashing it everywhere. She doesn't stay in a crate and I try to keep her on a schedule for eating/pooping outside but sometimes she doesn't want to eat or go to the bathroom. |
