I was also going to ask how old is your pup? Scottie had this problem when he was 5-6 months. After he settled on a quality kibble (he was very picky at first with a sensitive stomach), started feeding him a bit of organic coconut oil, and made sure I rinsed shampoo out well, his skin eventually cleared up.
