I have never had an unsprayed female before and have no idea what to look for. For most/all of you here it's not rocket science, but, I just got her from a breeder on an adoption contract to have her spayed when I can. I do not know the warning signs even though I have been told about behavior changes. I have not had her long so I am still getting use to her personality, therefore, knowing if there are changes is obsolete. Plus she is in a new environment getting use to things. She is older and I was told to see if her vulva is swollen. I do not know if the current size of her vulva is normal for her or if, in fact, she might be going into heat.
