Teddy was that way. He was 8 months old when we brought him home. The trip was 6 hours and I couldn't believe that he had not peed. Then I noticed as we were standing over a puddle of water (rainy day), I could see the puddle fill with yellow. Teddy wasn't even squatting and he was looking up at me nervously.
Teddy was accustomed to privacy, so he was very shy about doing his business with me so close by, let alone on a 4' leash. |
That could very well be what is happening. He used to just use a doggie door so he was without onlookers! LOL. We also had snow last night and he is not fond of snow. He is also still adjusting and shy. He has gone other times on a leash, but it takes forever. Maybe he is a minimalist pee-er!
